Test and Evaluation Report of the IVAC (Trademark) Vital Check Monitor Model 4000AEE

Abstract

The IVAC Vital Check Monitor Model 4000AEE was tested for electromagnetic interference/ compatibility in the UH-60A helicopter under the U.S. Army Program for Testing and Evaluation of Equipment for Aeromedical Operations. The tests were conducted using current military and industrial standards and procedures for electromagnetic interference/compatibility and human factors. The IVAC Vital Check Monitor Model 4000AEE was found to be compatible with U.S. Army medical evacuation UH-60A Blackhawk. However, ambient noise levels in the helicopter prevented proper operation of the microphone in the blood pressure cuff which resulted in measurement errors. Electromagnetic compatibility, Test and evaluation, Aeromedical equipment.
