Annual Statement of Assurance. Fiscal Year 1991

Abstract

The Federal Managers' Financial Integrity Act (FMFIA) requires that the Head of each Executive Agency provide an annual statement of assurance to the President and the Congress stating whether the goals of the Act are being achieved. As indicated in the enclosures, this DoD Annual Statement of Assurance for FY 1991 provides a basis for such assurance. The DoD Annual Statement of Assurance for FY 1991 reflects substantial progress in strengthening internal management controls. It also reflects a commitment to the Internal Management Control Program as a key vehicle for improving management across a broad spectrum of functional areas.
