The Effect of Yaw Cards on the Pitching and Yawing Motion of Symmetric Projectiles

Abstract

This report presents an improved method for analysis of the effect of yaw cards on the determination of the pitching moment coefficient of symmetric missiles. Several comparisons of the present method axe made with spark photography range results obtained for the same projectiles, and a proper treatment of yaw-card data is shown to significantly improve the agreement between the two techniques.
