Abstract

The purposes of the document are several and include: (a) Describing the philosophical and practical objectives of the Common Data Model (CDM) administrator; (b) Discussing the CDM itself, its underlying design, and its role in the IISS environment; (c) Describing in detail the steps necessary in entering and maintaining data kept in the CDM. After reading and understanding this document, the CDM Administrator should not only be able to collect, enter, and maintain CDM-related data, but also be able to understand the reasons why such activities are performed.
