Ionization Potentials and Electron Affinities of Semiconductor Clusters Determined via Charge Transfer Reactions

Abstract

This chapter summarizes ONR-supported work in Prof. Eyler's laboratories involving small clusters of As, C, and P. Charge transfer bracketing experiments involving cluster ions and neutral molecules of known electron affinities (E.A.) and ionization potential (I.P.) lead to precise estimates of E.A.'s and I.P.'s for the clusters studied.
