Reductive Coupling of Chlorosilanes with Lithium

Abstract

Reductive coupling of chlorosilanes with lithium in THF proceeds via anionic intermediates (radical anions and silyl anions). They were observed directly by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 29Si NMR, EPR and UV spectroscopy.
