Homotopy Methods in Control System Design and Analysis

Abstract

The primary objective of this research is to extend and develop homotopy algorithms for a variety of computational problems in control. In addition, these problems are being examined in the context of the algebraic and differential geometry on which the homotopy methods are based. This will enable the classification of solutions to a particular problem and consequently will allow the analyst or designer to extract the most desirable solution.
