Introduction to Human Factors and Wide Area Networking

Abstract

The Human-Systems Interaction Course taught at the Naval Postgraduate School is an introduction to the human-systems interface, that part of the system which the human uses to provide input to and receive feedback from the system. This thesis will provide a basic introduction to those which must be considered when designing today's complex military systems. Additionally, this thesis will provide an introduction to the Internet - a worldwide network of computers and smaller networks. Students will use the Internet to gather information, access remote program, and communicate with other personnel around the world.
