Conversion of Contoured Polar Stereographic Projected Data into the Environmental Acoustic Interactive Data System (EAIDS)

Abstract

In support of the oceanographic and Atmospheric Master Library, the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) was tasked with updating the Arctic Sediment Thickness Data Base. The data for this update were received as a Polar Stereographic Chart that was prepared by H.R. Jackson. This technical note describes the conversion of these polar stereographic data into a format acceptable for input into the Environmental Acoustic Interactive Data System (EAIDS).
