Computing Science and Statistics: Proceedings of the Symposium on Interface, 21-24 Apr 1991, Seattle, WA

Abstract

The extremely successful workshop on Computational Molecular Biology featured world-renowned speakers. The workshop served as a focused example of the very real interface between biology, statistics, and computing science. Much of the success of a conference can be measured in terms of the number of attendees and the number of contributed talks, which, for this Symposium, were approximately 400 and 116, respectively. These Proceedings include 78% of the contributed papers and 65% of the invited papers that were given in Seattle - a more than adequate representation of the work presented at the Symposium.
