A Case Study of Information Resource Management in the Department of Defense

Abstract

This thesis develops a case study of a Department of Defense (DOD) activity that is suitable for presentation to military information resource management (IRM) students. The case will focus on the applicability of the Corporate Information Management (CIM) model as the framework for an IRM strategy for the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF), Barking Sands, Hawaii. Presenting a case of organizational control and technical planning to future military managers will provide experience in analyzing problems that tire unique to IRM in DOD. Use of this case study will also allow students to acquire skills, in developing action plans for a military organization.
