A Variable Resolution Terrain Model for Combat Simulation
Abstract
In this paper we present a method for variable resolution terrain modeling. This methodology depends strongly on the concepts of self-similarity and minimum desired resolution. Among the possible areas of application are combat simulation and the programming of training devices.
