Magnetostatic Waves-Based Integrated Optic Bragg Cell Modules With Applications To RF Signal Processing

Abstract

Two major achievements were made during the second program year (July 1, 1991 to June 30, 1992): First, a complete analysis on guided-wave magnetooptic ( MO) Bragg diffraction in a YIG-GGG layer structure aimed at the key parameters and guidelines for design of high-performance MO Bragg cells has been carried out. Second, an integrated MO Bragg cell module has been realized, for the first time, using a YIG-GGG tapered waveguide structure.
