Optical Beamformer

Abstract

This report describes research on optical beamforming performed in- house at Rome Laboratory. An optically linked antenna array was beamformed using an optical star coupler. Beamforming and nulling was performed using grin lenses as phase elements. The work was performed at an RF of 8 GHz.
