The OMPAT Level I Neurophysiological Performance Assessment Battery: NPPAB.

Abstract

This report presents specifications and methodology for the tests of the Tri-service Neurophysiological Performance Assessment Battery (NPPAB). The NPPAB is designed to evaluate the effects of medical pharmaceuticals on military-relevant human performance. It is intended to serve as an initial screening tool that will identify neurological systems and functions adversely affected by chemical agents. The tests of the NPPAB comprise seven electrophysiological procedures designed to assess the functioning of the visual auditory, and somatosensory systems, as well as the higher-order processes of selective attention and short-term memory.
