Parallel Computing Systems.

Abstract

This effort developed a Parallel Assessment Window System (PAWS) which uses a user's existing ADA applications to select the best parallel system for the application. PAWS allows comparison between vastly different machine architectures running a common application on a SUN workstation under X-windows. ADA and LISP based application are transferred into machine independent data flow graphs and graphically displayed to expose the inherent parallelism inherent in the application. Profile plots are generated showing both the parallelism of the partitioned data flow graph, and predicted parallelism of the partitioned data flow graph running on the target machine.
