Numerical Analysis of Permittivity with Loss in Isotropic Binary Composites

Abstract

The use of composite materials and structures to provide characteristics unattainable directly from the constituent materials is well known. Work has been undertaken to apply this principle to the development of new dielectric materials for use in capacitors with greater energy density, lower loss, and higher breakdown resistance. This report describes the numerical analysis of permittivity in isotropic binary composite dielectrics through three-dimensional computer simulation.
