Applications of the Finite Element Seepage Analysis Corps Program CSEEP (X8202)

Abstract

Case studies are presented for various applications of the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) finite element seepage analysis program, CSEEP (x8202). This report is directed toward the new as well as experienced user of the seepage program and is intended to serve as a supplement to previous USACE Instructional Report, K-83-4, and Miscellaneous Papers, K-77-4 and K-77-5. Five cases of seepage analyses from recent USACE projects are detailed to show the different aspects of modeling, analysis, and interpretation of results.A discussion of different problems noted by past users of the seepage program is highlighted by drawing upon the USACE projects as examples or for explanation.
