Navy-Wide Personnel Survey (NPS) 1991: Management Report of Findings

Abstract

The second annual NPS was mailed to 23,821 randomly sampled active duty enlisted personnel and officers in December 1991. Completed questionnaires were accepted through mid-February 1992. An adjusted return rate of 57 percent was obtained. Survey topics included rotation/permanent change-of-station moves, recruiting duty, pay and benefits, education and leadership programs, quality- of-life programs, organizational climate, and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) education. This volume contains highlights of the results for enlisted personnel and officers. Analyses were based on weighted data; thus, the results may be used to infer population attitudes.
