FY90 Based Ambulatory Work Unit (AWU) Weight Development

Abstract

This document briefly summarizes the results of updating the Ambulatory Work Unit (AWU) weights using FY 1990 Medical Expense and Performance Reporting System (MEPRS) ambulatory cost and visit data. In addition, the impact of updating from weights based on FY 1985 MEPRS cost and visit data, in terms of computed ambulatory workload at the workcenter, facility, and peer group level was reviewed.
