Development and Impact of Implementing FY91 (Version 8) Champus DRG weights and Outlier Criteria,

Abstract

This report presents the development of FY 1991 (Version 8) Diagnosis Related Group (DRG) Grouper case weights, trim points, and geometric means of length of stay (GLOS) that will be implemented in computing FY 1991 inpatient workload and-Case-Mix Indices (CMIS) within the Military Health Services System (MHSS). Additionally, the impact of implementing the updated grouper and associated weights and outlier criteria is reviewed.
