A Method for Determining Schedule Delay Information in a Channel Cargo Route Network Schedule

Abstract

This research develops a method for measuring schedule effectiveness by determining the amounts of enrout, cargo delay caused by a given aircraft mission schedule. The method is designed to generate information which helps identify flights for which different scheduling might decrease overall cargo delay in the entire network, given that all non-scheduling factors are held constant. The research uses a simplified twelve-airport cargo route network to test the methodology.
