Derivation of Metallophthalocyanine Redox Potentials via Hammett Parameter Analysis.

Abstract

Six redox processes of metal-free, cobalt and zinc substituted phthalocyanines are shown to be linearly dependent on the total Hammett substituent constant, Sigma p. The slopes of the linear free energy relationships are in the range 0.10 to 0.15 V/ Sigma P.
