Performance Measures for U.S. Pacific Fleet Ship Intermediate Maintenance Activities

Abstract

The subject of this thesis is performance measures for U.S. Pacific Fleet Ship Intermediate Maintenance Activities (IMAs). It examines measurement data collected by the Maintenance Resource Management Systems (MRMS) and the Monthly IMA Utilization Report. Also, new timeliness measures of effectiveness are defined. The purpose of the study is to present, in one document, a description of all currently collected IMA performance measures, recommendations for other performance measures, and a statistical analysis of the performance measures to determine if they show performance differences between the Intermediate Maintenance Activities.
