Laser Induced Electrodeposition on Polyimide and GaAs Substrates

Abstract

Electrodeposition of gold and palladium-nickel on semiconductor GaAs polyimide polymer substrates was carried out making use of a switched Nd:YAG laser without external electric current. Deposits were characterized by SEM, x- ray analysis and their resistance on GaAs substrate were correlated with laser energy density used.
