Simulation Fidelity Issues for Nuclear Survivability Validation Protocols.

Abstract

This report presents a top-down discussion of broad simulation fidelity issues as they apply at each level of integration, from the highest (system of systems SOS), through each succeeding lower level, i.e., system element (SE), system element platform (SEP), subsystem, component, and piece part/ materials. Types of simulations applicable at each level are identified. Possible approaches that can improve simulation fidelity, to include a discussion of potential artificial intelligence applications, are presented.
