An Investigation of the IMO Spread of Flame Test Method.

Abstract

International Maritime Organization (IMO) A.564(14) tests were made on a selection of interior finish materials acceptable for use in maritime applications by the U.S. Coast Guard. The results of these tests were compared to ASTM E-84 Flame Spread Index values for the same materials. Limiting values for pass/fail criteria were estimated based on these comparisons.
