Effect of Aptitude on the Performance of Army Communications Operators

Abstract

This report documents results of RAND Arroyo Center research on the linkage between the aptitude of enlisted personnel and their ability to operate and troubleshoot tactical communications systems. The purpose of the research was to improve the ability of the Army to set appropriate performance standards and to estimate the effects of personnel quality levels on Army operational performance.
