Abstract

This report includes research on (a) electron-impact ionization of oxygen atoms (b) rate constants for three-body recombination of electrons with atomic oxygen ions (c) electronic structure of Rydberg oxygen molecules (d) electron-impact excitation of Rydberg oxygen molecules (e) electron impact emission cross sections of the oxygen Second Negative Bands (f) formation of highly excited states by electron recombination with atomic and molecular oxygen ions.
