Characteristics and Applications of Stimulated Raman Scattering in Microdroplets

Abstract

Review is made of the feedback and gain enhancement mechanisms unique to microdroplets. In particular, the growth of stimulated Raman scattering is considered in the presence of two-photon absorption as well as the usual optical losses inside the droplet because of scattering and leakage out of the droplet cavity.... Microparticles, stimulated Raman scattering, stimulated Brillouin scattering, and two-photon absorption.
