Resourceful Computing in Unstructured Environments

Abstract

This report describes, in general terms, the results of basic research conducted in five areas in which resourceful computing is critical for defense applications: (1) Engineering apprentices for resourceful repair, design, and specification; (2) Sensing prototypes for recognition, navigation, and manipulation; (3) Hardware and software solutions for ultra-large scale computing problems; and (4) Analogical and common sense reasoning for analysis and design.
