Mechanics and Control of Multibody Structural Systems.

Abstract

This report summarizes research into novel methods for structural dynamical simulations control of large nonlinear notions of multi-body systems. A new Order N method is introduced which is shown to be a significant advancement for computing motions of nonlinear multi-body systems. A method is introduced for establishing globally stable maneuvers of flexible structures; both analytical and experimental results are presented. A new integration process is established which used the work/energy equation to stabilize the numerical integration of structural system differential equations....
