Design, Development, Test, and Evaluation of a Level C Interplant Shipment Pallet for 60 mm M722 White Phosphorus Filled Body Assemblies.

Abstract

This report details the engineering design, development, test, and evaluation program to qualify a wooden pallet assembly (drawing 12937963) that is needed for interplant and storage of 60 mm M722 white phosphorus filled body assemblies. The final pallet design met the U.S. Department of Defense standard, MIL-STD-1905, as well as the performance oriented packaging (POP) identification, 49 Code of Federal Register, Parts 107-179, required by the U.S. Department of Transportation and United Nations.
