Designing a UN Peacekeeping Operation for the Occupied Territories

Abstract

One of the recent achievements of the Bush administration has been to bring the Arabs and Israel is to the negotiating table. Although the international community expects the negotiating process to be extremely slow, there is some hope that the parties will come to an agreement to diminish intra-communal strife within the Occupied Territories and to ameliorate the security threat of another war breaking out between Israel and her neighboring Arab states.
