Abstract

During January 1987, archaeologists from Garrow and Associates, Inc. conducted an intensive survey along both sides of a 14.8 segment of the Obion River system, western Tennessee in the vicinity of the confluence of the Middle and South Forks. Four sites and one isolated find were found within the project direct impact zone, in the construction right-of-way, while another 16 sites and four isolated finds were located outside of this area, at distances of up to two kilometers from the river channel.
