Flitseenheid voor Ultra Snelle Fotografie (Flash Unit for High-Speed Photography)

Abstract

This report treats the development of a high energy pulsed light source for the application of high-speed photography. The flash unit uses a Xenon flash tube and a pulsed energy source, consisting of a semi-transmission line. The flash unit supplies a square light pulse of 1 ms duration. The electrical energy delivered by the unit amounts to 4 kJ. The report is also meant to be the operation manual for the flash unit. Relevant technical data of the applied components is added in the form of supplements.
