Technical Manual, Redesigned ARC-2A Automatic Radon Counter

Abstract

The ARC-2A Automatic Radon Counter (Serial No. 87003) was manufactured in 1987 by Ocean Communication Systems, Inc, Panama City, Florida. It was designed as a stand-alone system, but was consistently plagued with problems. The manufacturer could not repair the machine. The ARC-2A was completely redesigned at NCCOSC RDT and E Division. It is now interfaced to a computer. A new manual was written with updated information and user instructions. The ARC-2A is an integral part of ongoing electro-optic propagation studies.
