SPOT Imagery and GIS in Support of Military Land Management.

Abstract

Due to the nature and intensity of the activities occurring on many military training areas, management of those lands can be a complex problem. The U.S. Army has adopted a standardized land condition and trend analysis approach to land management that incorporates the use of a geographic information system and satellite imagery.
