From War to Peace: A History of Past Conversions

Abstract

The report describes the U.S. experience with major defense drawdowns after World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, and identifies Federal Government policies to assist those transitions. It places the current Reagan- Bush/Cold War drawdown in historical perspective.
