A Guide to Total Software Quality Control.

Abstract

This is a guide for program offices that provides strategies and techniques for controlling the quality of software for mission-critical systems. It describes techniques to prevent, detect, and correct defects, and to make improvements in the processes and resources used to develop the software. It recommends use of a Total Software Quality Control Plan and shows how to create one prior to the start of system development. Volume 1 contains an overview of techniques and the planning process.
