Archaeological Investigations of The Little Cypress Bayou Site (3CT50) Crittenden County, Arkansas. Volume 1

Abstract

During the course of investigations, various stages of work were conducted including: (1) controlled surface collections; (2) site contour mapping; (3) preliminary test excavations; (4) data recovery block excavations; and (5) data analyses. Although the work was confined to a proposed bridge right-of-way, valuable data pertinent to the Baytown Period and Mississippian stage occupations were collected. In sum, feature categories, eight structures and 10 feature clusters, in addition to midden deposits were defined at the site.
