Proceedings of the Military Librarians Workshop (36th), Held in New London, Connecticut, on 27-30 October 1992

Abstract

The main theme of our workshop was how to deal effectively with the New Agendas For The Nineties. These new agendas encompass concepts such as downsizing, consolidation, and realignment. These new agendas came about due to the signing of the Cold War and defeat of Communism. How ironic this is since in the past, the victors were given the spoils and not expected to downsize, consolidate or realign. The program committee had a unique opportunity in planning workshop. Because the last Military Librarians Workshop was held in New England in 1969, we felt we had available a pool of untrapped New England library resources
