TacSats for Surveillance, Verification and C3I

Abstract

This Symposium dealt with small satellites used for tactical (as opposed to strategic) applications that might be of value to NATO. The 11 Sessions covered TacSat concepts and needs, aspects of TacSat applications, TacSat systems applications, communication concepts, launch systems, spacecraft bus, advanced technology, radar concepts, electro-optics concepts and two panel discussions. The information generated by the Symposium will be used by Working Group 16 to report on the utility of such satellites and applications to meet future NATO needs.
