A Calibration Procedure for the SBE 19 Conductivity, Temperature, and Depth (CTD) Profiler

Abstract

A procedure for calibration of conductivity, temperature, and depth (CTD) sensors of SBE 19 CTD profilers is discussed. Pressure is calibrated using a linear model; temperature is calibrated using a third-order polynomial least- squares fit. A Levenberg-Marquardt nonlinear parameter estimation technique is used to model the conductivity sensor. CTD, Calibration, Levenberg-Marquardt, CTD sensor.
