Synthesis and Structure of a Seven Membered Cyclic Cumulene

Abstract

This paper describes the preparation and structural characterization of a distorted seven-membered cyclic cumulene. This complex was formed unexpectedly by the reaction of 1,4-bis(trimethylsilyl)buta- 1,3-diyne and the in situ prepared zirconocene complex of n-butene.
