Composite Materials with Improved Properties in Compression (Publications for Contract N00014-89-J-1961, Office of Naval Research/DARPA)
Abstract
(1). Partial and complete chemcial modification of poly (1,1-dimethyl-1-aila-cis-pent-3-ene) by addition of dichloroketene. (2). Addition of difluorocarbene to poly(1-methyl-1-phenyl-1-sila-cis-pent-3-ene). Thermal stability and characerization of microstructures by 1(H), 13(C), 19(F) and 29(Si) NMR spectroscopy. (3). Dimerization and Polymerization of 2,3 -Benzo-5-silaspiro[4.4]nona-2,7-diene. (4). Anionic Dimerization and Ring-Opening Polymerization of 1, 1-Divinyl-1-silacyclopent-3-ene. (5). Stereoselective anionic ring opening polymerization of 1,1-diomethyl-1-silacyclobutene. (6). Anionic Ring-Opening Polymerization of 2,3-Benzo-1-silacyclobutenes, Characterization of Poly(2,3-benzo-1-silabutenes). (7) Synthesis and characterization of poly(1-methyl-1-silabutane), poly(1-phenyl-1-silabutane) and poly(1-silabutane).
