Observed Currents From the Entrance of Pensacola Bay to the Vicinity of the Allegheny Pier

Abstract

In July 1992, the Naval Oceanographic Office received a request to provide real-time current measurements in support of USS FORRESTAL prior to and during several docking evolutions between late July 1992 and early September 1992. This report summarizes the development of a measurement system that collects and forwards current measurements in real time and describes-the data collected from the Pensacola Bay entrance to the Allegheny Pier at the Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida....
