Repair, Evaluation, Maintenance, and Rehabilitation Research Program: Icing Problems at Corps Projects

Abstract

Icing of machinery such as dam gates, lock gates, gears, and seals is a problem at Corps projects during cold weather. A survey was distributed to Divisions and Districts to obtain information on icing problems and existing solutions. Results of the survey are presented in this report. Each solution is discussed in relation to the appropriate problems.
