A Survey of Dental Emergencies among U.S. Army Active Duty Personnel

Abstract

This report presents the results of a 1992 survey to describe characteristics of soldiers presenting with dental emergencies; documents the conditions causing dental emergencies; reports the disposition of soldiers with dental emergencies; and estimates the costs in time to the soldier's unit and to the Army Dental Care System associated with the diagnosis, treatment, and disposition of a soldier with a dental emergency.
