An Interim Report on the Distributed Database Dynamic Reconfiguration Project

Abstract

This paper discusses the work which took place in the first phase of the development of the D3R project. The concepts of Object-Oriented Programming and Multitasking are introduced and explained. Each stage of the project is detailed, and where relevant, concepts from the DBMES system are introduced and explained.
